2025 Workshop – Intro to Chromatic Dulcimer Feb 25

Workshop for Beginning mtn dulcimer, held on zoom.

Beginner and UP – In this 3 week class you will get everything you need to have success in playing Chromatic Dulcimer! We will begin by covering our frets! We will play a bunch of beginner songs and you will get lots of helpful tips on how to play with all those extra frets. No matter if you’ve played dulcimer before or not, this crash course will get you up and running in no time flat!

Week 2 – Feb 20

Week 3 – Feb 27

Materials List –

• Chromatic Dulcimer tuned DAD
• Pick (any guitar type pick will work
• Electronic tuner (or app on your phone) so we can tune up!
• Strap or something to keep the dulcimer stable in your lap, rubberized shelf paper works as well
• Handouts each week so you can see them (I’ll send via email and you can print).
• A ready to learn attitude!
