2025 Workshop – Speed It UP! Mountain Dulcimer March 25

Workshop for MID -Beginner and up mtn dulcimer, held on zoom.  DAD Tuning  

Class for Mid Beginner and UP! You should already be comfortable playing 10 songs at a moderate speed.

We will go over techniques I use to add the sauce!! We’ll have lots of exercises to work on along with several fiddle tunes. This is not the same as my FLATPICKING workshop.

We will use a metronome in class as lot and I recommend you have either one on your phone (app) or purchase a digital one.

Get ready to zip y’all! Jams and people you play with will usually play with some speed so this will get you feeling confident to do so – ALL WHILE PLAYING SMOOTHLY.

Materials List –

• Dulcimer tuned DAD
• Pick (any guitar type pick will work)
• METRONOME – use a free APP or get a digital one (I’ll use mine in class, but you’ll need it for practice)
• Handouts each week so you can see them (I’ll send via email and you can print).
• A ready to learn attitude!
