That’s awesome Jane! Nice you got the traveler out. I just purchased a backyard dulcimer. I will post a pic. Mine is not painted. I am trying to decide how to decorate it.
Where are you camping?

Yes, I was there right after the ARKANSAS festival and got mine there. Today I was at a shop in Nashville, INDIANA, someone was asking about dulcimer lessons. I of course told her about Banjolemonade.com. Then in the window was a picture of Mandy advertising free lessons with purchase of Merlin. My husband points and says, “and there she is”. The salesperson wasn’t aware of all the types of instruments Mandy teaches. NOW she does. 😄

HAHAHA that is hilarious Jane!! That is the ONLY place in this entire country that I have that going with. What a small world. HAHAHA. – There is no other music shop anywhere that I know of that I have that with other than my local shop here and there’s no picture of me there either. HAHAHAH – Jon and I are laughing. The fact that your husband saw it too, that’s what’s funny.

Okay Jason, here is picture of new dulcimer. I contained myself to just one, seriously. But live to shop another day 🙄. Bill Arnold Student, and it is easy to play I must admit. The change down to 25VSL is actually nice, kind of wish I knew that before. The grain is cute and knot hole sound hole is really cute. 3 strings, DAD, nice tone. Very neat Jane! I like the holes. And that homemade strap. Love it. Yes I played for YEARS before even realizing about VSL. It’s such a big thing for me too. I probably couldn’t hardly play a 27 or larger now after having my 25”s.

FYI for anyone >> Home made band from stretchy headbands, with ponytail bands on end for better attach to post.
