Is anyone here beyond my 3-4 usuals?
There are a lot of cobwebs in this place – 😂
When I started this website I debated about not even having forums because I thought maybe they were a thing of the past. The last 2 years has shown me for the most part that they are.
What are your thoughts? Doesn’t really hurt anything to leave it here, but if it’s not being used maybe it needs to go.

Well I’m one of the usuals and since I’d probably be the one to remove it my vote goes to keeping it; mainly because I’m lazy 😎
Seriously do wish more would participate here, post cids, and ask questions; I know everyone has questions; even us slightly advanced beginners.
Like why is it so hard to drop thumb? How do you do that triple pull off?

Thank you, my take, for what it’s worth. Usage and appreciation for the Forum will not be fully understood by the posts alone. I’m sure the majority of Forum activity is from those who mainly just read but for whatever the reason do not post comments. I’m sure many enjoy them and hope that they will continue. The Banjo Lemonade community is as important as the lessons. Besides if I ever get up the nerve to post my playing, need a place to put it! 🙂

I agree. Also sometime life gets in the way to post. But love/like seeing the challenges, and other posts.

I do like the new, newer, feature that sends you to latest lessons. So I haven’t missed the notifications, although it kind of reminds me of when I missed or did not show up for a lesson (on purpose) and the school overhead speakers reminded me. 🙄 the notifications reminded me it was lesson day 👍🏻😁

As one who has regularly posts and does the monthly challenges…I enjoy learning and growing, my friends and relatives are super supportive..and ask the first of the month..”whats the challenge this month” ..even tho i do not play Banjo..I throughly love listening and watching..how you all do that drop thumb thing?. Wow.. I feel Mandy gets to see the fruits of her labor…. but I will say ..it does feel a bit lonely here…
Happy New Years to all the banjolemonade friends…

I’m new here but I think it should stay. I enjoy reading it and maybe I’ll be able to post something some time.

If administrative overhead is low I would keep it. It is not clear to me that the notifications is working. I have not seen a notification for the few replies I have had. Maybe this would help?

I am brand new here. I just purchased my first dulcimer and have been looking through this forum. I may not always comment though.

Welcome Kevin, Mandy’s course and time (practice) will do the trick! I recommend the course as the lessons are in an order to build your skills vs hit and miss choosing lessons from the list. Very quickly you will be able to jump on weekly lesson (if you like the tune).

Welcome Kevin…
Are you playing in DAD?
I had trouble strumming..but Mandy told me to do DAA tuning…yep that was the turning point for me..

I am really just starting out. I am in DAA tuning and am not musically inclined so it is all new.

There is a picture of it in the “Show your instrument” heading. Made in 1980 by Bill Berg. Bought from a collector where I live.
