Do you have a local group? Consider hosting a full day of ZOOM workshops with me. Or just a 1 – 2 hour workshop.
Benefits of using ZOOM – expenses are MUCH less for you. I’ll give a GROUP rate for the workshops.
Here are the details –
- Wherever your group meets, you’ll need a TV – the bigger the better. You’ll also need a high speed internet connection.
- I’ll include the details of each block of instruction and proposed schedule (as we discuss)
- You disseminate the information through your club and get people to sign up. (I will make you a registration form to print out for people to sign up if you’d like.)
- You collect the money and registrations by cash or check. You mail the money to me or pay me via paypal.
- I’ll teach as many or as few blocks as you’d like.
- Cost – Dependent upon group numbers, as little as $5 per person to attend! I would require a minimum of $70 per hour of instruction.
Workshop block ideas –
We can do any number of topics and we will discuss. Things I commonly do are:
- Hymns, shape notes ( 1.5 – 2 hours required for this)
- Smooth strumming, timing and rhythms
- Chords and back up
- Fiddle tunes (and how to make them fancy)
- Flat-picking off the melody line
- Specific song blocks – learn the whole song (we all play it together) we learn the chords also.
- Waltzes
- Tons and tons more
