Guitar chords in G (145) Picture Lesson

Playing in the key of G on our guitar, here are our 1,4,5 chords. G being our 1 chord, C being our 4 chord, and D being our 5 chord.

Learn to transition strum between these chords. Practice it!

G chord – 3rd fret of your 6th string, 2nd fret of your 5th string, open 4, open 3, open 2, 3rd fret of your first string.

C chord – muted 6th string (I use my thumb), 5th string 3rd fret, 4th string 2nd fret, open 3rd string, 1st fret 2nd string, open 1st string.

D chord – don’t strum 6 or 5, 4th string open, 3rd string 2nd fret, 2nd string 3rd fret, 1st string 3rd fret of 3rd string.
