Old Joe Clark in A (Play Along)

Here is a super fun play along in the Key of A. This song is commonly played in this key for the fiddlers. Notice the chart – instead of the chords by letter, I have them set to show by number (Nashville Number).

That’s for anyone using a capo. Like the banjo for instance. The banjo wouldn’t play an (A) chord because the banjo uses the capo in this video. So I’m using my standard G shape chords so I can just play the backing as the 1 chord, 5 chord, and 7 chord.

In this video I give you 3 times of playing backing, then you play the LEAD by yourself the last time through the song.

For those who need their chord diagrams – those are below. If you are using the A chords – that’s the one on the left, and if you are using anything where you are playing G shapes using a capo – those are on the right.

Always remember, Jesus loves you!

As you get more of these play alongs, maybe make a folder for them = easier to find or play a bunch in a row. 🤔😁

They are in a category called Fiddle Tunes (under Play Alongs) for now. Hoping we can get a thing (soon) where they will be in alphabetical order once in that category. Thanks!
